DeatschWerks high flow fuel pump with universal install kit. These pumps have the same electrical connector as the factory pump, so no wiring modification is required. It is also very similar in dimensions to the factory pump, so only minimal modifications are required to fit it into the sender housing. The DW200 is comparable to the Walbro 255, but being a newer design, it flows slightly more, is quieter and consumes less power.

It is not recommend to over size the fuel pump as this can result in problems with too much fuel flow at low fuel demands, causing a non-linear rise in fuel pressure. The DW200 pump is the perfect size for anyone looking to make up to 450WHP on gasoline or 400WHP on E85. The DW300 is capable of about 650WHP on gasoline or 550WHP on E85. The DW420 is capable of about 700WHP on gasoline or 650WHP on E85.

The DW300c is a direct drop in pump for the P2 chassis (2002-2009) and flows a little bit more than the DW300.

Notes on install:

The factory sender assembly inlet tube is not barbed – the hose between the fuel pump outlet and it can sometimes pop off or leak fuel at high pressures. The DW200 fuel pump comes with a short length of hose – it is recommend to reuse the factory hose as it is about 2″ longer. With the factory hose you can fit two clamps on the sender inlet. Oetiker clamps are recommended, but if you don’t have the correct size on hand, smooth banded fuel injection clamps are recommended over the clamps that come with the DW200 kit.

While the DW200 does share the same electrical connector and pinout as the factory pump, some cars come with resistors inline on their power leads. It is recommended to replace these resistors with direct wire splices. Make sure to use heatshrink connectors or wrap soldered connections in fuel resistant heat shrink tubing.

The DW200 is slightly larger in diameter than the factory fuel pump. Therefore, to allow it to fit into the fuel pump housing, the ribs which secured the factory pump must be sanded down to half height. This can be done by hand, but use of a rotary tool with a small diameter sanding drum is much faster.

The factory fuel pump pre-filter ‘sock’ can and should be used on the DW200 pump. The retaining mechanism is the round protuberance adjacent to the pump’s inlet, not the inlet itself. When the factory pre-filter sock is removed, the 3 ‘teeth’ that grab onto this protuberance are bent, so the sock won’t stay attached. If you take a small flat blade screwdriver you can bend these teeth back up, which will allow the sock to stay attached to the pump.
