This is a custom machined Aluminum MAF housing with a honey comb element air straightener mounted before the sensor. Unlike the BMW 325i housing (3.25″ OD), these housings are designed specifically for the Volvo MAF element, placing it exactly in the center of airflow, ensuring easy and accurate tuning.
It is not recommended to purchase a MAF housing that is larger than necessary, as it can degrade idle quality and make tuning more difficult. It is OK to overflow the MAF by 3-5%.
2.75″ ID/3″ OD – Up to 325WHP – same size as the ‘960’ MAF housing
3″ ID/3.25″ OD – Up to 400WHP
3.25″ ID/3.5″ OD – Up to 475WHP
3.5″ ID/3.75″ OD – 500WHP+
